Chelating agent: When this product is combined with antacids, sulcoaluminum, multivitamins containing metal cations such as iron and zinc, or deoxyinosine and other drugs, it can significantly affect the gastrointestinal absorption of this product, resulting in a decrease in systemic drug concentration. Therefore, the above medications should be taken at least two hours before or two hours after taking this product.
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs: Concurrent use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and quinolones, including this drug, may increase the risk of central nervous system excitation and convulsive seizures.
Warfarin: This product enhances the efficacy of warfarin and prothrombin time, resulting in prolonged bleeding time. Prothrombin time, International normalized ratio (INR), or other anticoagulant tests should be closely monitored when this product is used in conjunction with warfarin, and the patient should be noted for bleeding.
Antidiabetic drugs: Patients taking quinolones in combination with antidiabetic drugs may experience blood sugar disturbances (such as hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia). Therefore, the blood glucose level of patients should be closely monitored when combined.
Effects on laboratory or diagnostic tests: Fluoroquinolones, including this product, may cause false-positive urine screening results for opioids, so a more specific approach to identifying positive results for opioids is warranted.
